On the outside you are smiling
but on the inside you're dying.
You put on your mask of joy
but for sadness, its just a decoy.
You run away from the pain
Like you run when it starts to rain.
Closing yourself off in wall after wall,
building them higher each time they fall.
You let your gaurd down to let me in
but you had that wall between our skin.
I felt only stone when we touched
it was just a facade that I clutched.
You let down the walls to let me see
What you really are, (which is crazy.)
So it was my time to run away
about two months in and I could no longer stay.
You spoke of demons and devils at night
taking you over without a fight.
But nothing else came out of your mouth
You hid everything, shrouded in doubt.
So the glimpse of you that I was to see
led me more and more to believe
that I had to let you go for the best
cause frankly, you might be possessed.
