To meet Death
To look him in the face
Without fear
He thinks you know too much
To greet Death
With a nod and a wink
The hands tell all
That was never said among the dark
To beat Death
He gazes with suspicious eyes
The card calls
This is but a distant scream
To look him in the face
Without fear
He thinks you know too much
To greet Death
With a nod and a wink
The hands tell all
That was never said among the dark
To beat Death
He gazes with suspicious eyes
The card calls
This is but a distant scream
Author notes
Another kind of strange one that I think is interesting. And I thought of the word! Most of my poems lately have been very profound, in a way. Most of them.
To the Contest hosts: Not entirely sure if this was what you were looking for, but hey, thought I'd give it a shot.
