My desires meant nothing to him
My dreams and hopes never awaken any of his whims
Nights in the tent I was slashed by his words
And whipped by his desires
Where were my courage and my faith?
I flee through the night with the moon as my guide
Finding myself in haven of the desert oasis
Then I heard his voice and the sound of his men
I hide behind in the trees and the rocks
Wondering what he would do to me again?

you are oooozing with talent. I am surprised this just won an honorable mention. Have you ever thought of writing epic poetry. You would be absolutely brilliant at them.
