Into The Wind

Missing image

She reluctantly released

purloined love,

blazing like the letters

that once lifted her

elated spirit until

cruel intention played

its trickery for the

last time

as heartache soon

became ashen memories,

finally carried away

by the cold drafts of sorrow~

Author notes

I imagined this woman being heart broken by a cheating lover, and so I penned this little bit of fiction.

    and i know the feel.
    it will drive
    someone absolutely mad
    with the pain and
    passion both then and
    in this write.

the way you break it up
    can make or break it,
but if you read it a
    certain way...it just...
    captivates you.

    you're so good i'm using
    words multiple times.

Wowzers!!! Fabulous piece!! You really have captured the picture MJ... just stunning! Ahhh the broken heart.....

  • i loved it! you expressed it so well. liked your take on the picture. thank you for entering and since you enlarged the picture...i hope you dont mind but i'll use it to replace my smaller one

    thanks

  • 'cold drafts of sorrow'.... oh so final! Waiting for letters from a loved one then to have the words crush your heart can be devastating. Great imagery. J

  • Oh daddy the feelings in this piece are so strong and beautifully sad but they express so much. I love you daddy

  • The feelings of loss came through your words so strongly. Beautiful but sad...final.
