the overused apology with overused cradling

the pessimist and the realist
the democrats and the republicans

making it too real
stopping with the pronouns
the explaining
going back to the way it used to be

    I was sure I'd read this one before, and the beginning was familiar, but the end and the author's note weren't. Perhaps I got half way through and had to rush off somewhere, or perhaps I'm just imagining things, but did you edit this significantly after posting it?

    Whatever the case, this is brilliant, cynical and overwhelming/ed. I've been here more times that I care to admit.
