The Birth of Love

The flint sickle's slash
left imprint of hard scars
and tint dolent earth's cuckold
under glint of firey sky's ire.

          (Deus Sol Invictus is witness)

Ouranos' manly pride, cast aside
under aquamarine tides of Cythera-
flowering myrtle alongside silty sand,
framing isle's wide rugged terrain.
         
There, the hands of Oceanus held
a pearl of paradox; just expelled,       
and born of betrayal freshly quelled,
the iconoclast of innocence: Aphrodite in shell.         

          (A swann in flight looks down)

Among these mystic Mediterranean waves,
