One Year Stronger

Everyone here is giving up on living their life
They've stopped trying because of a little strife
But what they may not see or may not realize
Whether it be because of a clouded heart or clouded eyes
Is that we've lived one more year longer
And our souls are one year stronger
But still they want to give up on the all happiness
And give into the feelings of depression and sadness
All I can do is stand there and look towards the skies
To hope and pray for help making them realize
That we've lived one more year longer
And our souls are one year stronger
Yet no matter how much I hope, wish and pray
All any of them can sit there and say
Is how they want to give up on living their life
Stop trying and give in to the sadness and strife
And for their sake as much as mine I hope they realize
Raise their eyes and see for there is still hope to try
And we can live more year longer
And let our souls become one year stronger
