I sit here silently
Watching you die
You sit there quietly
With but a sigh
You look at me
and say 'I Love You'
But cant you see
'I Love You too'
Your final words:
'I Love You and goodbye
Write these words
But please don't cry.'
'Grandma wait
Please don't go
This is not your fate
Because I say so.'
You look at my eyes
Full of tears
Wipe one away and say
'I'm so sorry dear.'
'Grandma no
Just a little longer
Before you go
Stay with us together.'
You squeeze my hand
As a final goodbye
The monitar sounds like a band
And you go with a sigh.

Saying good bye is one of the hardest things in the world to do. Especially to a Grandma. I thank you for making me feel some great emotions. Excellent work. I thank you for entering the contest. Unfortunately you've already won a trophy and therefore are being removed from the contest because this breaks the rules. Thanks. kahy

This was very heartbreaking for me to read... my grandpa died two days ago after prolonged sickness and so I can relate to this completely. Fortunately the last time I saw him I told him I loved him... so I feel like I got some closure.
Thanks for the entry
