Oh my gosh! Margaret the imagery is so vivid. I am a mixture of emotions reading these haiku. It's sad and worrisome when dogs roam the streets hungry and uncared for.

The second one is so interesting, that the feral dog knew to walk with the humans. These make the best haiku, when you write from daily observations. This are rally good, Margaret!

I find the second one especially interesting - I guess I have not ever lived in cities where dogs run wild. Surprising observation. Even the first one - how can they afford to be choosy? Just wary of people?

I was out doing a little shopping today and I observed this one dog waiting at the traffic light and looking at the people. A man threw a bun to the dog, but he walked around it and the pigeons made a feast. Then the light changed and the dog crossed with the crowd. Go figure!
DeeCrepit (on another page) says that dogs do not eat bread - does yours?
