Morning Kisses
Hey Mom, don’t shed a tear now
you know that I’m ok,
you’re forever in my heart
and I watch you every day.
I know that you can’t see me
or hear me whisper low,
I guess that you feel something
what it is you may not know.
The things we did together
I guess I’ll always miss,
but I wake you in the morning
with a tender little kiss.
I sit and watch the others
as they grow and make you glad,
this poem comes with love from me
to you and to my Dad.
My birthday’s fast approaching
but please don’t shed a tear,
‘cos I’ll be right inside you
as we start another year.
