A gift to mom
a precious boy
to hold on to
and bring you joy
For every one
is a gift of love
lent to us
from up above
Sometimes they come
and stay a while
and walk though many
a weary mile
Sometimes it seems
a very short day
God calls then home
they're taken away
For life is a mist
it shall not last
before you're ready
it has flown past
So cherish this day
'til setting sun
for God's not promised
another one
If you have a child
then hug them tight
their time may pass
before comes night
