So many of our members here on Allpoetry
suffer from physical and emotional illness,
loneliness, anxiety, isolation, despair.
Many grieve over family members lost,
feel stress and sadness
over a loved one's illness.
Others suffered trauma as children;
physical, sexual, emotional abuse, divorce.
Many suffer from low self worth.
Still others have endured spousal abuse,
or have watched their children
turn to addiction
to medicate their pain.
Some may be spiraling down
the tunnel of addiction themselves.
For some, poverty and homelessness
are a real concern.
Father, I ask that you carry
those among us in distress
through turbulent waters
to the safety of the shore.
Give us rest in Your fragrant
meadow of hope;
shade us with blossoming
branches of love;
cloak us in Your kindness.
With every breath
may we breathe Your grace.
May we find strength, peace
healing and hope
in Your abiding and bountiful love for each of us.
May we continue to help and encourage
each other in this community we
call Allpoetry.
In Jesus' merciful and loving name we pray,
AMEN

Don't know you but do know
Don't know you well enough
to say I do
But perhaps in one way or
the other I may know
That I ought to pray
not only for sister or brother
But also for those I don't know
Who often need my shoulder
A shoulder to bear a burden
A heart for prayer
A word to let them know
I am there I care
To keep my heart seeking above
Knowing others have so many needs
To ask my heavenly Father to bless each
Sweet and precious seed
To ask for His mighty protection
To guide them while I speak
To draw each with open arms
To be within their reach
Bless Freed by mercy
In Jesus name amen

Phenomenally beautiful background, a compilation of many breath-taking scenes of the handiwork of a loving Creator.
Very thoughtful and insightful prayer. All face struggle and adversity to some degree, but there are times when the intensity reaches crisis pitch, and times when the unremitting nature of a struggle is entirely exhausting.
The last two verses are my favorites. There is a greater power and recognition and gratitude that comes from consciously choosing to lean on the Lord. Sometimes, the greatness of the depths we experience can open our eyes to His love and mighty strength in unimagined ways.
Beautiful imagery, "fragrant meadow of hope," "blossoming branches of love," "cloak of kindness."
Lovely reminder, that each of us has opportunities to help and encourage others. A balm-filled write
