Love's Sorrow

Love's sorrow is nothing new.

One wants something to cling too.

Everyday always seems the same

And ends the same without a change.

The life I thought I had

  Came a bit short

The fact of it all is that time

I was the one who lost.

Then to another plato I moved.

It was not a wise call

I also wanted to feel life and love

Not with the concern of sin.

In the end I had to leave

All to soon someone would grieve.

Somewhere a fool without a goal.

Thought it was over, what a relief.

To this day, looking back on that day.

  What tenderness, had they cared.

Beats the loneliness I feel here

  One can't complain any more.

Life does go on, love is out.

  When love was young

You didn't do without.

Now that you are old, you have lost out.

This is a very moving poem. Speaking of love in such a way is certainly something I haven't seen before, although I am still young in years.

There is such tenderness and raw emotion behind your words, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

Thank you for entering, and I wish you luck.
