Path of the Frozen

Chill, thine soft breath of incantation
Plains of the speaking, mesmerized
Cracked icicles and mingled tears
Oh father, brother, mother... son

Cold stone, veiled with white blanket
Never tasted air didst thee, darling?
Tiny body, bequeathed to earth
Caressing fear, feign simple hands

Trembling knees plow hardened ground
Alas! For to thee, a cry farewell...

    You Blew my mind!

As I read poems from other poets, I am finding those who I never knew were on this sight. Your imagery was sad, yet beautiful. Congratulations on winning the gold!

    Excellent

This is so Shakesperian that I can't believe I love it. Maybe i'll have to give that a second chance?... Nah.

    That was amazing.
    Short, but,
    Powerful,
    Vivid...
    Beautiful.
Even in the wrath of nature.
    Well written.

    excellent imagery!

Your words conjure up so many emotions and thoughts. The faintness of the picture goes very well with your poem.

    Good luck in the contest.
