(azrael by Peter Mohrbacher)
I see you hiding there,
trying to lure my soul somewhere.
Darkness is my other side,
that I try so hard to hide.
But without you I cannot strive
for balance in my life.
Light is the other side of self,
You cannot hide it on a shelf.
We are a combination of both you see,
split in halves for eternity.
We walk hand in hand with each,
One or the other just out of reach.
Anger and pain releases her wings,
but Love brings her home again.
Each of us has feelings
that reflect the joy within.
Remember to share in turn
the love that is your essence,
so in your heart it will burn.
then the darkness is in absence..

These are teachings that I have learned over the years at my Elders sides.

What a powerful rhyme! People trying to hide pieces of their natures are at the root of what's wrong with our society... We can't create harmony without acknowledging our whole selves. Anything else just perpetuates a lie... Awesome write!!!
