Sounds Of The Butterfly(gold)

Missing image
Flitting from flower to flower
gossamer wings ever so gracefully
alight on food for the soul.
Dazzling colours demurely hover
catching prisms of soothing tranquility.
Silently, velveteen delicacy
descends to rest on tender petals,
knowing that demise is calling.
With fevered movements,
life is quietly perpetuated.

What a beautiful poem and simply wonderful piece of writing this is. Its so delicate almost ephemeral in its qualities. Butterflies are such delicate and wonderful creatures and you have captured these qualities so well. I loved this. Thankyou for sharing its magic with me. With love & all my very best wishes from Rose xxx ps.Congratulations on the gold trophy, it's thoroughly well deserved.

Exquisite write...the flow, so liberating, so free. I think you caputred the image of a care-free butterfly so well; I can just imagine her flowing calmly through the summer air.

    "Dazzling colours demurely hover
    catching prisms of soothing tranquility."
Such peace, yet such strength in those words.

    Simply beautiful.

    Hit the brakes!...

... Thats what your poem tells me. How often do we forget to pay respect to all the wonders so small along the way. Your poem seems to show a short moment in slow-mo, what I normally see in 3 or 4 seconds and then continue my work. You zoom in to the seemingly less important moments and raise them to the surface again, where they belong. Thankyou by Der Lurch

What cool images - "alight on food for the soul," "velveteen delicacy - descends to rest," and "demise is calling" are my favorites. Congratulations on the gold.
