What a Joy

What joy you give oh little one
The first day that you appeared
Your mother screamed with joy
And your father even cheered

Your siblings poked you on the face
And slapped you on the head
Then granny got in on the act
And started to pat you on the back

Every one made a fuss just because
your one of us we took lots of photos
And you didn't even blink oh what this
poor little one might think

We are just trying to make you feel welcome
Help you fit right in we don't mean to rough
you up or get under your skin
I know you will soon get used to us
and you will see we love you dear
Just want to say we are glad you are finally here
