Oh to be in Ireland on this fine Saint Patrick's day
To see all my little friends and have a pint along the way
I will put a shamrock in my hat as I am going to the fair
And pick a bunch for my lovely lady's hair
The violin will be playing as the fairy's start to dance
And I will look handsome in my new green tarten pants
A few more little drinks as we go along the way
To find the end of the rainbow at the end of a lovely day
I will sit and count my gold and make sure nones been stole
You humans try to steal my luck but I will run and hide
You will never catch me I have got the magic deep inside
I wont grant you wishes so don't fallow me home
You better not try to catch me just leave me alone
You don't seam to realise what us little people can do
So just enjoy your self and we wont bother you
