"Illness has cures,
bad roads detours
workers, vacations
flu has vaccinations,
sinners, prayer
poverty, welfare
before has after
frowns, laughter
But what's the antidote
for my old dog dying?

He may be a dog and for many not worthy of emotion but any pet gives so much to us more than we can ever begin to repay. An interesting take on the prompt penned with conviction of heart hanging heavy with the reality of life. Congratulations on the gold.

This is such a sad piece, there are many things I wish for an antidote for, dying is one of them, it comes too quickly... for all of us, man and dog.. very unique take on the prompt, I love this
Thanks for taking the time to enter my contest, wishing you the best of luck
