When they were beautiful
Untainted by wisdom
Bereft of such sustenance
Only time satisfies
So hungry, impatient
Devouring life In raw bloody chunks
When they were beautiful
When thirsty they drank
The juice right from the fruit
Nothing harnessed nor contained
Fearing anything between
Themselves and their craving
Only stood to impede fulfillment
When they were beautiful
Might one depart Amidst such voracious vitality
Choking on life...
Instilling the others with
Tremendous grief
Reverence and envy
When they were beautiful
Much to be learned, yes
Lessons best left untaught
Believing the price is too high
And the deceleration, contagious
Echoes of life reach much farther
When one dies while still beautiful
So went the unspoken consensus
When they were beautiful
Please tell me what you think

This was really good. I think your message here is about someone with an eating disorder. That's what it sounded like to me. This poem had great flow and rhythm and you expressed this topic really well. Great write and Great job!!!
