The Look In Your Eyes

That smile on your face,
It has torn me up inside.
I just wanna run away from the world,
But it's impossible to hide.
I don't cause your happiness,
And I'm not the reason you smile.
Everything was just peachy,
But only for a while.

Relationships came crashing down,
To many tears were shed.
Important friendships were threatened,
And we let the euphoria go to our heads.
Back to "normal" now,

No impending love story,

Hidden hopes are no more,
