suddenly she realized it didn't matter
never matter if she tried
it it didn't matter how hard she worked
she was never good enough
never was the best always left out
the family picture was perfect
as long as she wasn't there
as long as she laid down for the camera to miss
two parents and two daughters
the third was a nuisance
the third faded and never returned
the third could take her life
and some how she'd still be in the background
nothing was about her
nothing was meant for her
and her feeling never mattered
she could try to live with it
she could try and pretend everything was ok
but in the end when she was alone again
she would know nothing was ok and no one cared
she knows that her life serves no purpose
at least none until she left here
always in the shadow of her family
a sister good at sports and perfect
the other computers was her game
the third would fade as the others moved on
she knows her feelings don't matter

courage...
the pain of being the forgotten makes it hard to write about, I'm proud of you for getting this out... there's always a sense of loss from what others compete with us over.... perhaps one idea to allow for this to begin to hurt less is let them forget, then make them remember, and not with something they'd expect, nothing to tragic, but a calm, self assured reminder to the world that you are still here, and won't go away...
sorry, i'm rambling too much..
peace,
