that hovers near,
it was there in my mind
less than one small moment ago,
now gone,
as distractions
of daily life beckon
through forgetfulness’ fog growing,
fleeting
thoughts vanish now,
cluttered by mundane tasks,
as dust accumulates in mind,
silent
until recalled
during dream state, waking
to find it was an illusion,
maybe
