Bradford Pear

The blooms of Bradford Pears are there
they mark the coming spring.
A warmer snowfall fills the air
as songbirds start to sing.

The evergreens have wintered long,
their beauty through the frost;
but now their boughs just don't belong
and all their glory lost.

Weep not for the evergreen
that stays through winter's cold
but weep for blossoms never seen
by eyes that grew too old.
