If my arms were reaching out,
I could maybe bridge the doubt.
I can stop us
from losing this chance again.
Strange avenues with weird signs,
Where is the divide?
Are you my enemy or my friend?
I don't know you,
and you don't know me,
But we have the same rising sun,
the same coloured sky.
We shouldn't be fighting,
we need to work it through somehow.
We are all connected,
in some way.
Only love can get us through.
We all grieve in different ways,
if only one drop could wave away the pain.

If only we could drop the walls between us, let down our defenses, and trust each other. Trust ourselves. Just be real, let ourselves be seen. If only we weren't so afraid of being hurt. If only that were possible. Well written!!!
