My bloody father on the bed
I went in the room he was knocked out dead
Red blood shed on his tummy
Until I screamed mommy mommy
It was so horrible to see my father go
Just knowing he was knocked out cold
I am missing him more and more every day
Why did he go I cannot say
Why did it have to be my father
I didn't even get a chance to say good bye
Why did he had to die
I cry and cry until this day
I pray and pray and sway away
I only have one father
And thats you
I will always love you.
I miss you cause I got the blues!

This is really sad. From the title and other comments I was about to agree with my fellow greeters, but I think I see how this can fit with the contest criteria - sometimes, someone's absence can influence us much more than their presence would have... I don't know what more to say. From this, you appear to be rather sensitive, and I also know (not first hand, but I have witnessed) how hard it can be to lack a present father figure. I hope, in time, you'll take the best of what you have or do not have. Good luck in the contest.

This is a really sad poem and I am so sorry your father has not been there for you. You have written a heartfelt poem here. It's very beautiful.
