Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Her hair was blue,
Her heart was gold,
She was nothing but,
A vibrant soul.

You were too afraid,
But still remain amazed,
She flooded the image,
In your drifting daze.

How could you help yourself?
She glimmered with ease,
Disabled your heart,
With her delicious disease.

But the fact she loved you,
Was what she had to deny,
Erased you from her life,
And you didn't know why.

So then as your heart,
Turned a sleek ebony,
She transformed to nothing,
But a solid memory.

Feeling desparaged,
You took time to decide,
To omit her from your mind,
After being pushed aside.

The specialized company,
Sent over the scientist,
Who brought his machine,
And the receptionist.

Went through your mind's traces,
Deleted the significant spots,
Careless, drunken, happy,
Without your or their thoughts.

So soon it would be,
That you and her would regret,
As different as you were,
You didn't want to forget.

Fighting the process,
And the doctor's operation,
You strived to hide her,
In a secret complication.

Buried her in childhood dreams,
Embarrassment, pride, and fear,
Locked her behind anything,
So keep her here.

It was a cruel corporation,
A sickening test,
You needed to remember,
To go feeling obsessed.

You'd go to edges,
You'd go to lengths,
Keeping her close,
With all your strength.

Did you win in the end?
That's for YOU to later find,
See the twisted ending in,
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I really like the ending. You did a good job of giving the story line without revealing the ending of the movie. The only thing that could improve it would be to break it into stanzas so that the reader maintains steady interest. Good luck.
