Other Side Of The Mountain

The other side of the mountain,
where the sun shines everyday.
Lost love past and tears of pain,
blue skies washes them all away.

Mountain steep with jagged cliffs,
break free from the dark side's hold.
Upwards as faith and hope uplifts,
glimpse joy and happiness untold.

Within my grasp the sun's warm rays,
my tears of sorrow will soon fade.
Nearing the top lost in misty haze,
leave behind broken promises made.

The mountain tall beckons and calls,
as it trembles beneath my feet.
I must scale these high creviced walls,
and stare in the eye of defeat.

See the green valley and far beyond,
I have never come this far before.
God gave me strength to carry on,
the sun shines for me once more.

OH I truly enjoyed this..Seem to be climbing that scally side of the mountain myself. And as I make small but for going steps to the top as I climb I to will enjoy when I look and see that green valley below. Great Flow and fantastic thoughts expressed here easily for all to relate to as we move on. Hope all is going well for you. You are in my prayers.

What a powerful work. Moving from a faded relationship to become independent in the grace of God, moving forward with life to stare defeat in the eye. Lovely last stanza, power is shared to gather strength in the sun.

    TRULY UPLIFTING !!!!

Even when there seems to be only darkness there is always light on the other side. Keep faith alive and the light will come. Your title brings to my mind a true life movie about olympic hopeful Jill Kinmont, the title of the movie and book was THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, her true story.
