I want to wake up in the eternal morning
on the clouds of his cheeks.
Just to look inside where the sun shines in his eyes,
the last time that I saw him was on Calvary.
The sun had gone from his face as he cried then died,
but now I know that he is there.
I have but to climb the stairs and then
while resting on the clouds of his cheeks.
The light that was passed to me will be in my smile.
At last I have come home but not as an only child.
Author notes
I am just playing with some thoughts that have been entering my head in the last few days. Several people that I know have passed away in the last few weeks and now we heard that Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer.
