The night reflects in colours bold
with passion that we shared
as sunrise intrudes upon our love
I struggle to let go.
The memories of the way we fit
as bodies moved in tune
caressing in such frenzy
'till explosions filled the air.
Our hearts have crept together
and now beat as though just one
I cannot face the light of day
to know that you'll be gone.
It feels so right, you know it too
neither meant for this to happen
as I beg you stay for one more day
a lifetime of memories that we'll build.
Just one more day of perfect love
to last a lifetime through
before you return to another time
a life where I will never belong.
