William Wordsworth (Acrostic)

Words that flow from mouth to heart
Instill in others a will to start.
Living as one with natures' scene,
Listening and writing all he's seen.
In touch with nature, in all it's glory
All with words he tells his story
Mastering poetry, his work of art.

Walking lifes' redoubtable road
Ostentatiousness he never showed.
Romancing life for all who would hear
Dedicating words to bring a tear.
Showing the world through a masters eyes
Without the need for a special disguise.
Out of the pen of an ordinary man
Releasing words to show you can
Treat your world with poetic stance
Hoping that one day we'll be given the chance.

Acrostics - not always the easiest form of poetry but you have mastered it here .Every line in place quite a superb addition to this contest - well done. Von - Oldpoetry Team
  • Great poem, you did a wonderful job here, describing the poet, and writing your accrostic poem. Best wishes in the contest.

  • A masterly effort. Ostentatiousness was a great choice for O
You have captured some of the essence of this great poet whilst producing a credible accrostic. Nature, romance, art the references are good and strong.
    Very well done.

A difficult form when such a long name as William Wordsworth is used. but you did a great job with it and gave much credit to ol willy.
