Be of the Earth

Strength burrows deep in the ground
pliancy bends with wind
Waters: still to view
running torrential below

Reach, my son, for these things
follow the path set forth
Adventure into the new that is old:
sure-footed and graceful

Tempest of temptations denied
stand fast without breaking
Conviction of your own truths
embedded in the soil of your heart

Rocky the path may turn:
emulate the river's flowing
Open to the sunshine of Love
let nature be your guide.

    Beautiful emancipation counsel for the youth setting forth into the winds and torrents, sunshine and beauty of Life. May he continue to learn, choose and grow well. Lovely descriptions, "strength burrows deep," "tempest of temptations denied," and "embedded in the soil of your heart." Lovely write! Much enjoyed!

    And so the son becomes the Ash...
    very apt and a pleasure to read such
    beautiful wisdom handed-down. These
    paths he must now choose on his own;
    with only the roots of his upbringing
    to help him decide which way to travel.
