To Walk

Walk the even (straight) path, and your muscles
and mind will adapt to course
Walk the uneven (crooked) path, and the mind
and body do the same, alternately.
Where is the spirit?
But rejoicing such imagination.
And where is god(s)?
But walking.

Please tell me what you think

You have read many of my poems, mon brave, and you know that god lives within me (and exacts a dreadful toll upon my fellow-travellers). Jolly good!

I've read this a couple of times but I still feel like I'm missing what you mean. I mean I get that it's about the life people choose and all that. And I like the idea of gods walking but I don't really get the line about the spirit rejoicing imagination. It's so different from the rest of the lines and I don't know what imagination you're talking about. I don't know though. I must be missing something?
