remember the fall
the music is ending
replaced by the scritch-scratch
of pencils on paper
and erasers to follow
orange leaves
sacrificing their own lives
as they crumble
to the absent ground
remember the winter
when two in love curl up
by the crackling fire
murmuring passages from novels
and sweet nothings
thankful for each other
sweethearts lock eyes
and lock hearts all at once
lost in one another
in all the awesomeness of adoration
remember the spring
friends emerge from hibernation
spreading their wings
beneath the blue sky
stuffed full of life
everything is alive!
and the flowers bloom
surrounding us with excitement
remember the summer
when narcotic ribbons of sun-rays
drizzle down our faces
leaving spotty freckles in their wake
when dragonflies zoom
across forgotten colors
tracing smiles
among the stars
remember the seasons
one after another
each leaving memories
and dreams to consider.

No, my dear, YOU are the amazing one. This was brilliance. If you don't win in this contest, then... then... then I don't know what. But I know you're going to!
