What I'd rather be doing,
is being at your side,
Trying to find out,
what you're trying to hide.
We talked for a little while,
we seemed to get along,
Its seems that was just a dream,
its seems those days are gone.
What I'd rather be doing,
is talking to you again,
Maybe we could start all over,
I could really use a friend,
Just a call, a smile or wave,
that's all I really want,
I don't know if its something I said,
was I just too blunt?
What I'd rather be doing,
is seeing how you are.
Making sure everthing is fine,
Even though from you I'm far
But maybe we could talk all night,
And laugh until we cry,
I want to hear your voice someday,
One day before I die.

This is a sweet poem. We've all "missed the boat" on the chance at a relationship, be it romantic or purely platonic. Thanks for entering!
