There's a rainbow pouring colour from the sky
I can feel it running in and out each eye,
and it's up there in the sky...
there's a tree strong firm and green touching the moon
trying hard to reach it's prize a silver spoon,
and it's trying to touch the moon...
there's a house standing silent on a stark hill
it's so cold inside and the log fire is still,
and it's standing on a hill...
there's a deep lake that winds on and on for miles
it's a lonesome lake filled with sad hungry smiles,
and it travels on for miles...
there's a young bud and it's curled up fast asleep
and it's buried in the brown soil damp and deep,
and it's curled up fast asleep...
there's an old dear face that I know very well
turning from my rainbow eyes back to it's shell,
and I know it very well...
