The Veil of Human Nature.

Life in a box,
All of our matters
our befores
and remembrances of pasts;
our nows
and the people around us;
and our future ahead.
The dream on which we stand
and our beliefs, our God.
They called Jesus
the breaker of barriers.
So I wonder,
Maybe with a sure-fine faith
and surrender, completely
that maybe those boxes
could be demolished as well
that maybe we could see things
God's way,
without cover or curse,
without that label
we've so faithfully put forth.

And I wonder if God gets mad at us,
when we put His creation in a box,
with label upon label
judging what He's done.
'Cause we should well know,
that His fingerprints
are everywhere.

Author notes

This is something I just free-wrote one night, when i was thinking about life in general. It may not flow right, or in any order, but it's something i wrote as it flowed out of my mind.
I often think about how humanity judges things over and over and over, and puts a veil or a cover over things or people, or different times of their life. And like this poem says, I wonder if we could just see things the way God sees them, see them for what God's made them to be, purely.

    That's so cool, Ashy! Nice one!!! I finally got to use my grandma's computer to do a few commenting, so I thought, why not check out one of my best buddy's poems? I'm glad I did. This really makes you think!
