Trapped in glass
that's non-existant.
Is the fault mine
or outside of me?
Scanning moving lips
praying for a coherent sound
searching a human element
wishing to discover
what I've wanted to feel.
Escaping to a beach
Waves racing up the shore
surrounding my own feet
Water flows right through
my false glass
allowing my feet
to sink into the sand
Mist sprays my face
unhindered by the glass
Cold wind from the ocean
flows through my skin
throwing back my hair
I welcome the breeze
with open arms
embracing the chill
Warmth dies with loneliness
