Om Namah Sivaya

He dances
in thunder waves,
rolling lightning and striking rains.

Might blazes
in thoughtful eyes,
crawling serpants and bright blue neck.

He,
the Warrior, destroyer,
ultimate power in sage-like trance.

Sakthi
joins in almighty grace,
melange of purush-prakriti* in one...

Author notes

*Purush-Prakriti => Male and Female divinity respectively.

thank you so much for participating in this contest with your very beautiful and creative verse ... through very few and well chosen words, you speak to us of lord shiva and his shakti in a symbolic and metaphoric manner, revealing shiva's aspect as a destroyer and his presence within creation ...
you seem to master the rule in poetry of rather "showing" instead of "telling", and keep your poem free from personal interpretations, analysis, preaching, teaching and concluding ...
your images speak by themselves in a powerful manner and offer the reader the freedom to find his/her own truth contained in them, if (s)he so wishes ...

    all the best,
    maa
