Deep Within Me

Silently cry in my world at night
Adrift in dreams I hold on tight
Never to find true love it seems
Dashed are my hopes and dreams
You read my life in words of rhyme
Gone with the wind my happy time
Remaining with me are memories
Away love flew upon the breeze
Many tears lets the sadness seize

    Sweet Sandy

What an acrostic! You have imagery, flow, rhyme and it all stays so wonderfully together which is hard with Acrostics

    Love it

Best of luck in the contest
    Stay safe
    Love to you

Acrostic, rhyming, with your own background. It's like this piece is your own universe. A lovely eloquent write that I really enjoy reading. Thanks for entering and good luck.

None can truly deceive the heart without [further] consequences. There are a few who unfearingly lay before others their true self. I take [sincerely] note of your 'wish', your 'sadness', your 'reality', but I also take note of one who 'never gives up', is 'learning to cope' who unafraidly portrays this, and through her sincere and human voice, gives hope to those that read. Bless you. Frans

Awwww... such a sad poem! You certainly did justice to the pains of the soul, but shouldn't an Acrostic on Sandygram be sunshine and flowers? I know, the light you bring to others doesn't always reflect the inner you. Well done, as always.

Thank you dear friend, Yes you are right, (again) there is sunshine and flowers within Sandygram too. I tend to write what I feel at the time I am writing. Now if I wrote it this morning my dear friend it would be full of sunshine, rainbows, hot coffee, flowers, friendship, smiles, hope and faith and love. You have a blessed day. You do uplift me and bring out the sunshine within.

      Bless you,
      Sandy

What sad poem. Dreams are dashed to hold on to inspiration in memories. Love on the wind as a heart runs out of tears.

    SO THOUGHTFUL AND LOVELY!!!!

I believe we all have this in our lives, there are not very many of us who do find happiness and live with it our entire lives. I like very much to read your emotional writes as I am able to associate with them very much.

    Soft and Sad

Such sadness and softness wrapped in your words. It reveals much of the soul it comes from. How true the line "You read my life in words of rhyme". You seem so able to use words to express such intense emotion. I think it wonderful that those silent crys in your world of night drifting in dreams find their way so beautifully on the written page. Thanks again for sharing and actually bringing the beauty of sadness to my heart this day.
