Trapped in a maze
of my own making,
I stumble, trip, and fall.
Reaching for You with a heart that is aching,
It would be impossible to not feel small.
Standing on the rim of this hellish abysm,
That I have brought myself to.
With the truth of my plight refracted by a prism,
I scream and cry out to You.
Heartache and misery are all that I've found
While through this labrynth I roam.
Walking this earth with my feet on the ground
Simply wanting to go Home.
Scraped and bruised in this artificial night
Only now do I see...
You're the source of my light.
Author notes
This was my first attempt at a Christian Poem. I hope I did an okay job.

"youo're the source of my light" what a deep statement. Actually I guess we all have a source of light and it's too bad we don't wake up and become our own. thank you for the entry

Superb...absolutely wonderful. For being your first Christian poem, I'd say that you succeded completely. the only thing I found is that you now have two poems up that are titled Lost.
