Relief rushes through me
as I whisper to you.
You isolated yourself, all alone
You made a cloud over your head
and you were my sinking stone
I could not swim, sinking until dead.
You dragged me down into depths of depression
Only giving moments of happiness away
Draining my energy to face your opressions
And I found I was miserable at the end of each day.
It's not fair to say that this was your bad
I was halway in, with my other foot in the door of my past
I thought I could manage this juggling act
But it wasn't long before I realized this could not last.
So of our journey together, this is the end
and I know you are broken apart
I hope that we can somehow still be friends
even though I had to break your heart.
