anytime at G-D’s
will unconsecrated rain
covers everything
heat then rain then heat returns
outlines blur rain starts
the heat sizzles in waves
never cooler
just the same as before the rain
drenches everything
and then it is over in
hot steamy Florida
heat then rain then heat returns
always the wait for rain
as if unconsecrated water
would cleanse and flail
outlines blur
love comes closer
our sacred flesh
does not absorb divine moisture
to make the unclean ---
clean and fresh
