Show In My Eyes

The world revolves around things unseen
With importance placed on what is shown
The smallest are borne in the eye so keen
That can see far beyond the unknown

The gossamer wing and the vein of leaf
Transparent thing of trust and belief
Strength of wind and reach of the sky
Faith of friend and vision in the eye
Thoughts of beauty and scent of flower
Feelings of duty and feelings of power

Living things have codes by which they live
From the smallest mote to the largest stone
Unaware of the importance of what they give
and the things unseen are the blood and bone

Author notes

Show in my Eyes A. Ebert
The co-existence of unseen things that are the essence of life is what keeps the balance of nature equal.

a good piece of poetry, Thoughts of beauty - that is how we should be yes but i think most tend to move along the darker shades, we say we love the lihgt but then in actions we show we love the dark in life more. i once did an experiment with 2 pieces of art i did, i posted them, one lihgt and one dark and the dark picture got 10 times more clicks than the light

This conveys a chant-like relevance to life.
I see the honest belief here in all things
being connected and it reflects my own personal
beliefs. You have even managed to express the
title within~~"and vision in the eye"
which does relate well to both the title and
the image. The whole theme of a circle of interconnection and bonds applies aptly to the
hidden image as well. I very much like the
message given here as well as the metaphoric
    way it is displayed. Blue
