She cries alone when only her ears can hear
So that the emptiness of her soul can crumble
Beneath the pressures of her barren skin.
The path of her ageless tears have carved her
Deep beyond the burrows of her face;
The surface is only the beginning.
She cries silently to herself in the shadows,
For no one shall take on her solitude of pain
It is hers to carry, hers to drag over her shoulder.
Their pretentious laughter is never hers.
She calls on no one to notice her calloused heart,
The heart that has been emptied many years ago.
She cries alone, because it hurts so good
Nobody can stand in the soulless shoes she wears.
Because her pain is beyond understanding, she cries.

Wow, this is really good. It's full of great emotion. I just love it from beggining to end. There isn't a bad line in it. Great write.

Crying is cathartic, supposedly, or so they say. I hope your tears are ones of ancient pang and nothing recent. The past haunts us so and if I could hug anyone right now, it'd be you.
