Can You Love Her Like Jesus?

I'm battling my inner demons,
I'm trying to bring some things to light,
Two paths lay before me,
Will I pick the one that is right?

One on hand there is my friend,
Will it haunt me in the end?
If I stay true to her,
And don't let her down,
Because she needs a friend now more than ever,
Who else will see pass her tragic mistake?
What decision will I make?

As we sit here laughing,
Trying to brighten up the moment,
She must be dying,
Only hours before she was seen crying,
Let's hope she keeps up her brave face.
Because even now she falls from grace.

From the grace of society and it's judgemental ways,
It's so hard to live these days,
With so many judging,
Hating,
The way you look,
The way you dress,
It takes so much to impress,
Your make up,
Your weight,
So easy to make a mistake.

Would she do the same for me?
SHould it matter either way?
What will people say?
When they find out she's the preacher's daughter,
They shall send her through the slaughter,
Even judgement looms beneath the steeple,
From the so called hole people,
Well men do not need a docter,
Saints do not beed Jesus,
But Christ needs the sinner,
For who shall save her,
If not Him?

Still they will condemn her.
Will they do the same to me?
What kind of friend will I be?
Does it really matter what they say,
Because as the end of the day,
My friend wil still be there,
This is why I care,
Thier empty words will not phase,
Because now I reallize only God can judge me,
I don't know why I worry,
Instead of leaving it in His hands,
Now I hope I make the right decision,
By loving her like Jesus.

Author notes

This is coming after a long, long writer's block period and it came from the fact that my friend found out that she was pregnant. Not good and we both have some hard decisions ahead of us.

    good ending

I like that you used the phrase "love her like jesus". This IS what you should do. Yeah, she may have made a mistake, but she does need you. She needs you so she can be strong for the baby. In the end, the only thing that matters is what you do with what you're given.
