In the anonymous night I see them
They are everywhere, watching my every move.
Lurking around in the shadows of the eternal night.
There’s no way I can escape their grasp.
Their hold on he gets close every second as I get weaker.
I await the day they take me away.
Away from the hell I’m surrounded by.
The moonlight hides their true selves.
Yet I wonder why I can’t see them?
There’s no way I know to escape their deadly grasp.
I lie here awaiting in the cold of the dead yet silent night.
Rain falls upon me and I know its time,
for the bell of my heart to ring its last chime.
Now I go slipping away, far away
from where I was once today.
The clock strikes twelve,
have I finally escaped from their grasp?
