Heroin vs. Cocaine

I look for danger, I relish the pain.
You ask me to forget.
But you of all beings should understand.
You said I was your heroin, well, you're my cocaine.
How can I forget?
When the story of our past, is forever written on the palm of my hand?
I don't know how much more I can withstand.
I hear your voice in my mind,
my love, how could be so unkind?
How could you leave me behind?
I don't want to belong with mankind.
I want to be like you, I want to shine.
Come hold me again,
I can't let you go.
I can still feel your lips on my vein.
Come home to me,
to the place of rain.

Author notes

Bella Swan is my one of my favorite characters in a book, so I wrote this in her POV.

My favorite Twilight character would be Emmett. =]

Nicely done...I like the subtle reference to James biting her. If you made this longer you could elaborate more on her suffering when he is gone. New Moon is probably my least favorite of the books because Edward is gone most of the time. And with Bella so messed up about it, it makes you think bad thoughts about him..eeek. Anyway, excellent job, thanks for entering and best wishes

    Nice...

I like that. I felt Bella's emotions in this. I see her mental self go nuts without Edward. Lol. It's short, sweet, and to the point. I love those kinds of poem. Overall, great job.

Very nice! This is very well written. My favorite line is "You said I was your heroin, well, you're my cocaine" because that seems to sum up how Bella and Edward feel about each other. I also like how Bella is longing for Edward, but yet she is also mad at him for leaving. ( I would be, too) Thanks for entering and good luck!

This is really good! I'm in love with Twilight so this gets to me. You really captured Bella's feelings and for that I commend you. My favourite line is "You said I was your heroin, well, you're my cocaine". That was brilliant. Good job and good luck!

i thought this was clever, overall i enjoyed it, I think that you could have given more....I liked "When the story of our past, is forever written on the palm of my hand?" I'm assuming you're referring to the scar james left on her hand....nice job overall

Very clever. I will probably never quite forgive Edward for leaving her like that. Men always think they're doing the right thing in those situations, don't they? But such is not often the case. Masterfully done.

    Good luck in the contest.
