A Battle lost that you did your best,
The cancer overtook my uncle I had,
Another moment, of my life gone bad,
You had on your tux, and your favorite tie,
So many people came, and everyone cried,
He was a wonderful man & loved everyone so,
He was liked by everyone & its hard to let go...
You met my dad, on Thanksgiving Eve,
A day full of joy became a day to grieve,
You suffered enough, & you took on a hard fight,
But in the end, you became free & alright,
I miss you already but I know you're okay,
But I am selfish for I wish you could stay.
I MISS YOU
Author notes
In Loving Memory of my Uncle Lloyd, who passed away the day before Thanksgiving after battling throat cancer for three years, a stroke he sustained just six months ago & an infection in his chest that made it difficult for him to breathe. His funeral & burial was today, This poem is in dedication to him.

Another heartfelt yet, beautiful write. Death is something which many experience and the one who hurt are the ones left to live.

Very WELL done
This is a wonderful and beautiful tribute to your Uncle Lloyd that I'm certain his family would like to know about too. I'm so sorry for your loss Sara Dawn but ever the trooper your dad would be proud of this poem you wrote for your Uncle Lloyd. I hope when it is my time that somebody immortalizes me with happy memories of me and a poem to say "I wish you could stay".
