Broken Hearts, Broken Promises

To the one I let my love go to
Who ever thought that it would be you
To build me up and tear me down
Leaving me on my own to drown
The sound when you hung up the phone
You left me cold and all alone
There’s no where else I’d rather be
Right here with you beside me

The wheels keep on turning
The hours pass by
Still I wait for your phone call
Driving me up a wall
Wondering what would make you do this?
How could you?
And why?

You told me that you loved me
I always knew it was true
Still why do you break your promises like you do?
You have my heart
You had my trust
Could this really be the last day we ever see?

Your words sharp like daggers
Cant you see what we have made?
How could you throw it all away?
Guess you never really cared for me.

Darling there’s nothing I wouldn’t do
Nothing I wouldn’t give to turn back the hands of time
To when the days were colder
But our hearts kept us warm
I cant see me without you
Who was I before I met you?
I guess I cant help it, but you’ve become a part of me.
I still love you.
